The Drummond Group, Inc. served as the project manager for the Carriage Works to create and implement a multi-phased Revitalization Plan in its historic urban neighborhood. The redevelopment plan included a mix of housing types to a range of household incomes. The redevelopment of the block created 11 for-sale and rental units based on a thoughtful, organic in-fill planning strategy intended to mend the fabric of the neighborhood. Revitalization of the obsolete block was realized through the well planned and designed restoration of one 10,000 sq ft structure and infill of 4 new town homes.
The Drummond Group, Inc. handled infrastructure improvements, acquisition, development and asset management of the various components within the block Revitalization Plan.
Using a traditional historic design strategy, the project created a series of well laid out floor plans, garages, and green space. Revitalization of the neighborhood-commercial corridors also helped to re-establish neighborhood services and a sense of community as is evidenced by all of the pedestrian activity on the west end of Dauphin St.
